Villa 07

The design offers a playful variety of outdoor spaces, even though only 55% of the 360 m2 plot can be built on. And the restrictions require that there is also room for parking spaces. In the remaining 160 m2, the original vegetation remains intact.

The house is designed around the central patio. It is a shady spot outside and also provides natural light to the spaces around it. There is also a swimming pool with wooden terrace, a covered outdoor area, a raised sunny terrace and two balconies for the four bedrooms.

On the ground floor, the facade consists of wood and vertical windows that alternate with concrete pillars. The rhythm of the vertical windows resonates throughout the house. The combination with the horizontal bands of travertine gives the house an irresistible charm.

The key words for both exterior and interior are luxury and simplicity. The living areas are located around the central patio. The four-meter-high living room has an elegant charm with its high pivot doors and wide facade.

I combine the cream-colored ‘chukum’ stucco work typical for the region with – also local – travertine. Warm tones of native wood complete the picture.
