REK coffee table<\/h1>\n

The REK table is constructed as a sliding system in which shape and dimensions are not fixed, but emerge from use.<\/p>\n

The table consists of three parts that can move independently of each other in two directions. These shifts create a continuously varying configuration: compact or extended, linear or perpendicular. The geometry is not predetermined, but develops within the boundaries of the system. <\/p>\n

The resulting intermediate spaces do not function as residual form, but as an integral part of the design\u2014openings that are utilized both spatially and functionally.<\/p>\n

The construction has been reduced to a clear stacking of planes. The fixed part forms the stable reference point; the movable parts introduce change and variation. Stops limit the movement and define the range of possible configurations. <\/p>\n

Materials have been chosen to support this logic: a closed, homogeneous surface combined with solid wood edges that make the layers legible and add tactile precision.<\/p>\n

The REK table is not an object with a single fixed form, but a system that adapts to use\u2014a piece of furniture in which order and variation are simultaneously present.<\/p>\n
