For the ABN AMRO Open, Stilst designed the players’ benches along the center court.

The benches mark a different state within the game: not action, but stillness. As a counterpart to movement and competition, they introduce a moment of concentration and recovery, without explicitly articulating it.

The design has been reduced to a clear, continuous structure that exudes calm and continuity. Materials and detailing are tailored to intensive use and close proximity to the game, while the visual presence remains deliberately understated.

The benches are crafted from recycled fabrics sourced from discarded ABN AMRO office suits. This material is not used as a statement, but as an integral part of the design, where reuse and context come together.

In kleur en afwerking sluiten de banken aan op de omgeving van het centercourt, zodat ze onderdeel worden van het geheel zonder zich op de voorgrond te plaatsen. Sinds hun introductie in 2024 worden de banken gebruikt door spelers op het hoogste niveau, als een vast element binnen de ruimtelijke setting van het toernooi.
