Stilst’s furniture collection was designed in its entirety by architect Reinier de Jong. Starting in 2009, he created some sensational designs that received frequent worldwide publicity. REK bookcase was one of the 100 designs in the ‘Book of Ideas’ by Dezeen. Reinier was also chosen by Eigen Huis & Interieur among the most promising designers in the Netherlands.
In 2015, he founded the Stilst brand to develop a line of products that fit into timeless, minimalist interiors. With the Stilst collection, he managed to sell his collection through more than 40 stores at some point. De Steel klapstoel has also been part of an exhibition in the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen.
